The Columbus Girlchoir is a choral arts program that offers girls ages 9 to 18 training in vocal technique, choral style, vocal health, and music fundamentals. The group’s mission is two-fold: it stresses a commitment to performing traditional music with understanding and excellence, while offering its members the opportunity to develop friendships with girls from varied backgrounds, and build self-esteem and self-discipline  through hard work and deication.

The Columbus Girlchoir is funded in part by a grant from the Columbus Arts Council and through the generosity of patrons who provide scholarships and financial assistance.

The Columbus Girlchoir is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.

Founded in 2004 by Dr. Cherry Dunn, The Columbus Girlchoir is a nonprofit, member- and community-supported choral arts organization for girls.

Membership Info

Membership in the Columbus Girlchoir is open to girls nine to eighteen who reside in the Golden Triangle area of northeast Mississippi.
